Acquisitions continue and in March 2005 Datalogic acquires Informatics, an American company active in the field of online sales of products for Automatic Identification.

A fundamental stage in the development of Datalogic is reached in October 2005 with the acquisition of the American company PSC. Datalogic thus becomes one of the top companies in the world in the market of bar code readers, more than doubling its turnover.

Investment continues: in January 2006 the new factory in Trnava, Slovakia, is fully functional; 5,400 m2, with a production capacity of 350,000 pieces for Hand Held manual readers.

In 2007 the project "Bridge to Excellence" is completed, that is, the process of transformation that has integrated PSC and led the Group towards a new operational structure for its autonomous divisions divided by specific products and markets: Datalogic Scanning, Datalogic Mobile and Datalogic Automation. On the 2nd April 2007, DAY ONE of the new Datalogic is celebrated!

On October 3, 2008 the acquisition of Datasensor marks a crowning achievement in the industrial automation sector allowing both the Datalogic Group and Datasensor to consolidate their respective market positions. 

In 2009 the strategic evolution of Datalogic' s worldwide globalization continues in Asia: on July 10, 2009 Datalogic, through its subsidiary Datalogic Scanning inaugurates the new facilities in Saigon, Vietnam, where products for the Asian market will be designed, manufactured and distributed. 

On July 1, 2010 the acquisition of Evolution Robotics Retail, an American company located in California, adds an innovative and key technological capability with state-of-the art and unique technology in the field of visual pattern recognition and provides for a broadening of Datalogic's solution-based offerings.

On December 20, 2011 the acquisition of PPT Vision, an American company leader in the Machine Vision market, completes its offering of high end range of solutions and services in the new and innovative machine vision technology. 

On January 20, 2012 Datalogic completes the acquisition of Accu-Sort Systems, a leading supplier in the design, production, integration and maintenance of Automatic Identification (Auto-ID) systems in the United States. The acquisition of Accu-Sort enables Datalogic to double its presence in the Industrial Automation market, and improves its global leadership in the industrial stationary scanners segment achieving the first place worldwide with a market share of around 31% (Source VDC Research 2011).
